Privacy policy

Last updated:

This website is a personal portfolio. It is designed to process as little data as possible: it uses no cookies, has no analytics or trackers, and has no forms. This page explains what data is still processed and why, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

What data is processed

When you visit the site

Like any web server, the one hosting this site automatically logs some technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system (user agent), and referring page.

  • Purpose: serving the site, keeping it secure, and detecting abuse or errors.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: for a limited period, after which the logs are deleted automatically.

These logs are not used for profiling, are not combined with other data, and are not shared with third parties.

If you email me

If you get in touch using the email address on this site, I will process your name, your email address, and whatever you include in your message.

  • Purpose: replying to your enquiry and, where relevant, continuing the professional conversation you started.
  • Legal basis: your own initiative in contacting me and, where applicable, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Retention: for as long as the conversation lasts and, afterwards, for as long as needed to deal with any possible liabilities.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser (such as localStorage). That is why you will not see a cookie notice. Fonts and all other resources are served from this site’s own server, with no requests to third-party services.

YouTube videos. Some project pages include a video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press the play button. When you do, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com (Google), which may process data such as your IP address and store information in your browser under its own privacy policy. If you don’t play the video, there is no connection to YouTube at all.

Recipients

No data is shared with third parties unless required by law. Data may be accessible to the strictly necessary technical providers (the provider of the server hosting the site and the email provider), acting as data processors.

The site links to third-party sites such as GitHub, LinkedIn or 2baite. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time by writing to marc@marcestruch.es.

If you believe your data has not been handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es) or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

Changes to this policy

If the way this site handles data changes, for example by adding analytics or a form, this page will be updated beforehand and the date above will reflect it.
