Case study
2ModTracker STS: module and issue tracking in Dolibarr
A Dolibarr module to centralise, audit and manage module tracking: issues, comments, attachments, and a public portal where users report bugs that flow straight into the team’s workflow.
- PHP
- Dolibarr
- SQL
The problem
When an organisation maintains many modules, tracking bugs, improvements and tasks ends up scattered across emails, messages and notes. Users have no clear channel to report a problem, and the team has no overview of what is pending or what is blocking.
The solution
2ModTracker STS is a module built into Dolibarr that brings all of that tracking into one place, inside the same tool the company already uses every day.
What it does
- KPI dashboard: issue totals by type (bugs, improvements, technical tasks and blockers), filterable by version.
- Module management: each module with its status (active, in progress or inactive).
- Issues per module: with comments and file attachments. Every checked item records who checked it, and no other user can uncheck it, which leaves a reliable audit trail.
- Public suggestion portal: any user can report a bug or propose an improvement, stating the affected version.
- Approval flow: suggestions land in an inbox where they are approved or rejected. Approving one automatically creates the issue with the user’s own description.
My role
I designed and built the module on my own, end to end, and recorded and presented the demo published on the Spanish-speaking Dolibarr community channel.
